Deploying custom configuration payloads InTune for MacOS

InTune has a range of config profiles that you can use but sometimes you need to push a custom payload for a setting that InTune doesn't support, this can then be imported into InTune as a .mobileconfig file.

As an example I have created several mobile config files to push out fonts, to create the profiles I am using a free tool called iMazing Profile Editor.

In the top right you can search for the type of setting you want to configure, then click the respective option on the left and click “Add configuration Payload”

Whats great about these profiles is that the required files are embedded into the .mobileconfig file so you don’t need to worry about having them on a network location .etc

InTune does have a size limitation for .mobileconfig files so I split up the different fonts into regular and Italic as separate profiles.

In InTune you create a custom configuration profile and upload the .mobileconfig file and deploy.

Then upload the custom mobileconfig and provide a configuration profile name.
